Hezbollah rejects Syrian claims, denies any presence in Syria

Hezbollah dismissed accusations by the Syrian Interior Ministry claiming the group was linked to recent attacks in Damascus. The movement stressed it has no presence or activity in Syria and called the allegations arbitrary and false.

AhlulBayt News Agency: Hezbollah on Sunday rejected the claims made by the Syrian Interior Ministry, emphasizing that the Lebanese resistance movement has no presence on Syrian territory.

In a statement, Hezbollah’s Media Relations described the allegations issued by the Syrian Interior Ministry as baseless and false.

“Hezbollah’s name was inserted into these accusations arbitrarily,” the statement said.

Hezbollah’s Media Relations reiterated its previously stated position: the group has no activity, ties, or involvement with any party inside Syria. “Hezbollah has no presence on Syrian soil and remains firmly committed to Syria’s unity and the security of its people,” the statement added.

Earlier on Sunday, the Syrian Interior Ministry announced that its forces had dismantled a cell allegedly responsible for recent attacks in Damascus’ Mazzeh district, claiming the weapons used originated from Lebanon’s Hezbollah.
